The president, who made his feelings known in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, in Abuja on Wednesday said the establishment of the panel was in line with the resolution of the National Economic Council.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the development was sequel to the directive of the National Economic Council, following the nationwide protest against the activities of the now-disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
The Chairman of the panel, Justice Moshood Adeigbe, made the disclosure when the team paid a visit to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye ogunwusi, in his palace on Friday in Ile-Ife.
