The Court of Appeal, Lagos Division on Thursday upheld the conviction and sentencing of Dr. Joseph Nwobike (SAN) to one-month imprisonment.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the revelation was made on Tuesday during the testimony of Moses Awolusi, an EFCC investigator, during Yunusa’s trial at an Ikeja Special Offences Court in Lagos.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Nwobike, who is the counsel to Akpobolokemi, was convicted of criminal charges on April 30 by Justice Raliat Adebiyi for attempting to pervert the course of Justice.
Justice Raliatu Adebiyi, in her judgment on Monday, convicted Nwobike of 12 counts of the 18-count charge bordering on attempting to pervert the course of justice slammed on him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
Nwobike, prior to his re-arraignment, is facing similar charges of offering gratification to a public official, perverting the course of justice and giving false statements to an official of the EFCC.
