The United States Consul General in Lagos, John Bray, on Wednesday announced plans to relocate the Lagos Consulate from its present Walter Carrington Crescent, Victoria Island.

Bray said that PEPFAR was a US Governmental initiative to address the global HIV/AIDS epidemic and help to save the lives of those suffering from the disease, primarily in Africa
According to Bray, the project is a US Government initiative for a period of five years at a cost of $18 million.
Bray said that SMGL was a public-private partnership aimed at addressing three primary delays associated with maternal and newborn health
“All of these recipients are working to solve hugely important problems for your communities in Southern Nigeria.
“The US Mission to Nigeria is proud to stand with you in your efforts, because we share those priorities with you.”
Bray said that his Consulate was impressed with what the recipients were doing in solving human and environmental problems in their various communities
Bray said he was in the state to observe the election alongside other election observers, adding, however, that the postponement of the poll few weeks ago was a setback
