A lot has been written about Ocholi since the tragic event of March 6, 2016, which took the life of our Minister of State, Labour and Employment, his wife, Blessing, and his son, Joshua. And a lot more will be written, for Ocholi was no mean man. He was a man among men, an Iroko in a forest of trees. How are the mighty fallen!

It is in the light of that pretension (as if God does not know our very thoughts, even before they are formed in our hearts), that I situate the death of Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr James Ocholi, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), his wife, Blessing, and their son

In a statement by the Commissioner of Information, Culture and Tourism, Jonathan Vatsa, the state government said the death of Ocholi has left a big gap in the country and the ruling All Progressives Congress considering his contributions over the years to the legacy parties of the APC and the formation and sustainability of the party
