The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Tuesday, opened its case at the Federal High Court (FHC), Abuja, against the British national, James Nolan, who jumped bail in 2022.
Justice Obiora Egwuatu, in a ruling, also ordered Kadiri, an Igala chief, who was absent in court, to be remanded in prison custody until the payment of the N100 million.
Justice Ahmed Mohammed gave the order following an application by EFCC’s counsel, Bala Sanga, which was not opposed by Nolan’s lawyer, Peace Ogbonna.
The EFCC accused the Director of allegedly obtaining N151,394,328.00 from the Federal Capital Territory Administration
EFCC lawyer, Bala Sanga, made the allegation on Tuesday before Justice Ahmed Mohammed of a Federal High Court, Abuja.
Justice Okon Abang, who dismissed the prayer, said the application was lacking in merit and adjourned the case till Tuesday for continuation of trial.
The EFCC Counsel, Bala Sanga, who told Justice Okon Abang, on Thursday, said the anti-graft agency would file a counter-affidavit to that regard.
The Federal High Court, will, on Friday, November 22, ruled on the application for bail variation of James Nolan, a Briton, in Abuja.

Justice Okon Abang, who granted the bail in an application filed by Nolan, ordered that the applicant must produce “a surety in like sum, who must be a Nigerian and a serving senator not standing any criminal trial in any court in Nigeria.
