Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara has appointed Dr. Shehu Kuranga Mohammed as the new Group Managing Director for Harmony Holding Limited, a company owned by Kwara Government.
The Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, has approved the appointments of Hajia AbdulYekeen Sherifa Mojisola as Special Assistant on Social Mobilization, and Omoniyi Mukaila Ayinla as Special Assistant, Transport.
The Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Isiaka Gold, who disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, said the establishment of the task force followed Governor Ahmed’s assent to the amendment Bill prohibiting the production, transportation, storage or sale of charcoal in the State.

Ahmed who spoke on Monday, while inspecting the progress of work on the road said irrespective of the dwindling resources to the State, his administration will continue to harness available resources to provide critical infrastructure that will transform the State.
According to Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Isiaka Gold, who announced the approval in a statement, the Committee, under the Chairmanship and Vice Chairmanship of Alhaji M. S. Koro and Chief P. A. O. Olorunisola respectively, is to unravel the remote and immediate causes of the mayhem, ascertain the level of damage to lives and properties, identify the culprits in the crises and make adequate recommendations to Government.
Gold said the forfeiture the monarchs’ salaries, restriction to their domains and exclusion from official assignments earlier imposed by the State Executive Council has now been reduced from three months to 30 days.
He said as part of the arrangements, security agencies had been fully mobilized to ensure peace and order at all prayer grounds in the state
