The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation has fixed October 27, 2023 to commence the delisting of unverified civil servants from the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System.

Worried by gross violation of Federal Character in the recruitment of personnel by Ministries, Departments and Agencies of the Federal Government, the Ad-hoc Committee of the House of Representatives probing allegations of employment racketeering and gross mismanagement of the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System on Thursday threatened to recommend sanctions to the executive arm of government on some erring MDAs for flouting the constitutional federal character provision in their recruitment and staff placement.
Gagdi said this when the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency (NIHSA) appeared before the committee, saying that it was unacceptable that the common man is denied the opportunity to get employment into Ministries, Departments and Agencies of Government.
The beneficiaries said the salaries were paid on the platform of the Integrated Payroll and Personal Information System.
The House of Representatives has threatened to invoke its constitutional power on the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System, Budget Office and Assets Management Company of Nigeria over failure to appear before it.
Rep. Yusuf Gagdi, Chairman ad hoc committee probing employment racketeering and gross mismanagement of Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) said most of the agencies were not respectful of constituted authority.
Kolo said this in Abuja at the resumed investigative hearing of House of Representatives Ad hoc Committee probing job racketeering in Federal Ministries, Department and Agencies of Government.
She also said her office was addressing problems associated with the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System.
The Head of Service of the Federation, Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan, has indicted desk officers of Integrated Payroll and Personnel information System in Ministries Department and Agencies of Government for perpetrating fraud in recruitment exercise.
Also summoned was the IPPIS Desk Officer in the commission, Haruna Kolo, over the allegation on job racketeering.

The committee was also mandated to investigate alleged employment racketeering, alleged mismanagement of personnel recruitment across agencies of government.
This was discussed during the meeting between the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila and ASUU’s executive Monday.
