Head Coach Jose Santos Peseiro has recalled defenders Kenneth Omeruo and Bright Osayi-Samuel, as well as midfielder Alex Iwobi and forward Terem Moffi to the Super Eagles’ squad for this month’s international friendly matches against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique in Portugal. The quartet were absent from the team that demolished Sao Tome and Principe in last month’s 2023 AFCON qualifier in Uyo.

According to the Super Eagles programmed for the matches, the eight players- goalkeepers Adewale Adeyinka (Akwa United), Ojo Olorunleke (Enyimba); defenders Isa Ali (Remo Stars), İbrahim Buhari (Plateau United); midfielders Chiamaka Madu (Rivers United), Babatunde Nosiru (Kwara United) as well as forwards Mbaoma (Enyimba) and Ishaq (Rivers United)- will be leaving the country alongside the coaches, Finidi George, Salisu Yusuf as well as the backroom staff.
Germany will host the Czech Republic in an international friendly tonight, live on SS Football (channel 31) at 8:45pm.
These are scheduled for September 8 and 14, 2020 and SuperSport will provide coverage on no less than 10 international friendlies, 32 UEFA Nations League and Euro 2020 matches in the space of seven days.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that reigning African champions Algeria are Super Eagles’ opponents in the first of the two international friendlies to be played in Austria.
The team’s Media Officer, Toyin Ibitoye, told the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday that Etabo pulled out after he sustained an injury in his club’s lone goal defeat to Kasımpaşa FC at the weekend in a Turkish league encounter.
