In the suit number FHC/L/CS/972/18 filed last week at the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos, SERAP is seeking “an order for leave to apply for judicial review and an order of mandamus directing and/or compelling Mr Fashola to provide specific details on the privatization of the electricity sector, the names of all the companies and individuals involved; and to publish widely including on a dedicated website any such information.”

In a suit, No: FHC/ABJ/CS/1158/2017, dated November 22, 2017, the plaintiff, through their lawyers, Hammart & Co, are seeking the court’s “declaration that the Federal Government of Nigeria represented by the Attorney General of the Federation and Federal Ministry of Finance  who are defendants in this suit and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC), Bala Usman Maina, Stephen Sunday and Mr Sherriff are bound to comply with the whistleblowers Executive Policy or whistleblowers Executive Order to pay 2.5%-5% of whistle blowing fees or percentage as issued by the Federal Government of Nigeria”.
