The Presidential Amnesty Programme has dismissed as mischievous and self-serving a post on the social media by factional President of the Ijaw Youth Congress, Oweilaemi Pereotubo, claiming that the Ijaw Nation had passed a vote of no confidence on the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta and Coordinator, Amnesty Programme, Prof. Charles Dokubo.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that IYC had alleged that the NCDMB had moved its core operations to Abuja and Lagos, an allegation that turned out to be untrue.

The meeting, summoned by the leader of the defunct Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger-Delta, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, aka Tompolo, was later put off due to the tension generated
The Chairman of IYC in the Zone, Bobolayefa Owoupele, in an early morning statement condemned the said meeting in its entirety
The group said that the outcome of the election, won by General Muhammadu Buhari, would be reviewed in order to determine the next line of action of its members
This is against the backdrop of alleged threats by the IYC to declare a persona non grata delegates who they said are deviating from the contentious issues of resource control
