The Trade union Congress, Anambra State Chapter has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to transmit the proposed national minimum wage of N30,000 to the National Assembly for consideration.

Labour in a statement signed by Jerry Nnubia, chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress, Ifeanyi Okechukwu, chairman, Trade Union Congress, and Jibuike Ikenna of Joint Negotiating Council, said workers should stay at home and await further directives.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Okechukwu was returned unopposed at the state TUC Triennial Delegates Conference in Awka on Monday.
Okechukwu told the News Agency of Nigeria in Awka on Friday, that it was obvious that the increment would come but workers need to improve on their service delivery.
