About 50 people were reportedly injured, state television said on Sunday
A top appeals court cleared Mubarak earlier this month on charges of killing protesters in the 2011 uprising that ended his 30 year rule
On March 3, the Egypt Appeals Court found Mubarak innocent of involvement in the killing of protesters during the 2011 uprising that ended his 30-year rule, the final ruling in a landmark case
The court upheld the appeal of the prosecutor and quashed all the acquittal verdicts of the Assize Court for the former president, his sons Alaa and Gamal and his party colleagues
The Criminal Court also gave a similar sentence to each of his two sons, Alaa and Gamal, and ordered the three to pay a fine of 125 million Egyptian pounds (16.4 million dollars)
A prison official said that Gamal and Alaa Mubarak were freed after prosecutors certified that they needed not to be held over outstanding insider trading charges
The murders were allegedly committed in 2011
His two sons, Alaa and Gamal, were also convicted and given four-year terms
Mubarak, who had been sentenced to life imprisonment for corruption, was on Wednesday ordered by a court to be released on bail as further investigations into the charges continued
Legal sources told dpa that Mubarak could be released within 24 hours if prosecutors certify that he has paid an agreed settlement in a separate corruption case
