Recall that on Monday, March 28, 2022, five armed men armed invaded the home of Suraju and carted away belongings such as: car, phones, laptops, jewelry, bank tokens, documents, and other valuables, after disabling security equipment in his house, gaining access to his gadgets, threatening to kill him and physically assaulting him and his wife, both of whom had to be later hospitalized.

When the matter was called, the prosecuting counsel, A.O. Shuaibu told the court that the business of the day was the arraignment.

The letter of request to the ICPC on the probe was signed and delivered by the Chairman of HEDA, Olanrewaju Suraju.

The Human and Environmental Development Agenda (HEDA Resource Centre) has urged the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, to activate Section 52 of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act (as amended) for the investigation of the alleged $5 million bribery allegations against Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje.

HEDA Resource Centre in collaboration with the Open Government Partnership office and the House of Representatives Committee on Financial Crimes with the support of TrustAfrica are organizing a capacity building workshop for members and staff of the committee on the current, legal and practical issues related to issues of corruption.
