Opening the training, Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of training, Emmanuel Inyang, said developing FSARS human capacity became necessary in view of different complaints against the outfit.

Gwandu said that the police had set up human rights desks in all the 36 states and FCT, assuring that the complaints would be treated with despatch by the Force Headquarters.
Gwandu said this at the Lunch Time Reform Seminar, on “The Effective Response of the Nigeria Police Force to the Curbing of Crimes in Nigeria: The role of SARS,” in Abuja.
The group, which led protests from Edo House to the Police Headquarters at Louis Edet House and the National Assembly complex in Abuja on Monday, decried the insistence of Gwandu to hold on to his office after being posted out of the command about three months ago.
Obaseki gave the directive when he paid condolence visit to Ukpenu community in Esan West Local Government Area, where a widow was found dead on her farm on Tuesday
He also disclosed that the command had in the last one week arrested 27 suspected criminals in different hideouts in the state
