Amaechi also warned politicians to be careful so that the ongoing crisis does not affect the 2015 election, insisting that Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State voted during the controversial election

Sources within the NGF told The Eagle Online that the list was the one compiled by the Presidency, personally supervised by President Goodluck Jonathan, for presentation at the NGF meeting so that there would be no election but affirmation of the chosen candidate of the Presidency

Amaechi on Friday scored 19 votes to defeat the Plateau State Governor, Jonah Jang, the eventual candidate of Jonathan and the Presidency, on his way to retaining his seat
As reported earlier by The Eagle Online, Jonathan, who is against the continuation of Amaechi in office as the head of the NGF, had commenced the process of gathering the signatures of some governors.
The plot is that once the signatures are up to 20, the list would be presented at the NGF meeting, with the position that the governors on the list do not want Amaechi to continue in office
Security reports alleging massive fraud, it was learnt, have been used to whip some of the governors into line while some have been promised roles in Jonathan’s government post-2015 after they must have ended their tenures
Reacting to the development, the university spokesman, Desmond Wosu, said that there were plans to discuss with the union to restore normalcy in the institution
