Akeredolu, on the sidelines of the thanksgiving ceremony for the celebration of the 87th birthday of  Igbinedion praised the celebrant for touching lives in different sectors.

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu made the appeal when he received on Wednesday the National President of NACCIMA, Mr Ide Udeagbala, and other officers at the Government House, Akure, ahead of the association’s quarterly meeting.

Spokesman for Ondo APC, Alex Kalejaiye, was reacting to Wednesday’s Supreme Court ruling, which threw out Jegede’s appeal challenging judgments of the lower courts over the outcome of last year’s governorship election.

Justice Inyang Ekwo, who gave the order while delivering a judgment in the suit brought by the CJ against Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, and others, described the move to probe the embattled judge as “unconstitutional and illegal.”
 

This was disclosed by the Head of Service, Pastor Adeniran Adeyemo, in Akure while flagging off the 2021 promotion exercise for the qualified teachers at the headquarters of the State Teaching Service Commission.

The three-man panel of justices led by Theresa Ngolika Orji-Abadua, ruled after counsel to Jegede, Oyeachi Ikpeazu, SAN, argued that the sitting governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, was “not properly nominated” by his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and so should be sacked.
