Browsing: Governor Godwin Obaseki

Under the guidance of the PDP, an estimated N400 billion, or the equivalent of $4.6 billion, in purchasing power parity, representing 39 per cent of the combined federal and state education budgets in 2016, was paid out as bribes to public officials in Nigeria annually. A new report released by the National Bureau of Statistics in collaboration with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime revealed this last week.

The event, tagged: “Long Lasting Insecticidal Nets (LLINs) Replacement Campaign,” organised by the Edo State Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Catholic Relief Service, attracted international and local stakeholders in the health sector, who lauded the Obaseki-led administration for putting health care on the front burner.

Salami, who paid a courtesy visit to the governor on Monday in the Government House, Benin City, said: “We thank you for the assistance you have given to the school over time and hope you will continue to support the school. In addition to the support for the school, we also want you to support the Nigerian Army the way you have been supporting all other security agencies.”
