Umahi stated during a stakeholders summit on rice revolution in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital, on Wednesday that what was agreed at the Tuesday meeting was the provision of grazing routes in the state and not grazing fields as claimed by “our distractors”.

“They would not be allowed to stray into farm lands where we cultivate farm crops, as traditional rulers are enjoined to map out the routes and inform the herdsmen.”
Addressing newsmen on Sunday after a meeting of the South East governors and stakeholders in Enugu State, Ekweremadu said there was no bill on the creation of grazing reserves before the National Assembly
