Onogu Mohammed, Chief Press Secretary to Gov. Yahaya Bello said this in a statement in Lokoja on Saturday.
Mohammed said that the traditional ruler died after a brief illness on November 28 at the age of 61.

The state government letter: KGS/GO/ADM/25/II/XXX, dated September 16 and signed by Folashade Ayoade, the Secretary to the Kogi State Government, was addressed to the US Ambassador to Nigeria, Mary Beth Leonard.

The governor also has sworn-in Justice Bayo Olowosegun as the acting President of the state Customary Court of Appeal following the vacuum created by the death of the immediate past President, Justice Ibrahim Atadoga, on June 22.

It said: “The PDP and indeed the people of Edo state are already aware that the trio were selected by the APC to lead its campaign so as to force a combined formula of Kano and Kogi electoral violence as well as Imo state mandate robbery to subvert the will of the people of Edo state in the governorship election.”
