The Federal Government on Tuesday promised to complete all ongoing road projects in the South South Zone before the end of 2020.
The Federal Controller of Works in Lagos, Godwin Eke, disclosed this to newsmen after his inspection of road projects in Lagos on Wednesday
He told the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday that it was important to construct new bridges before demolishing the existing ones in order not to lock down Lagos.

Eke told journalists in Lagos that some of the bad roads required urgent attention and that the Federal Government was determined to make all federal roads across the country motorable.
The government also ordered telecommunication service providers and other operators to relocate their service cables on the Right of Way of the project for work to begin
