The commitment was the highpoint of a courtesy visit by the Commandant General of the NSCDC, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, to the Chairman/Chief Executive of NDLEA, Brigadier General Mohamed Buba Marwa (retd), at the anti-drug Agency’s national headquarters in Abuja on Thursday.
He gave the charge on Tuesday at a meeting with Directors, Zonal Commanders, State and Special Area Commanders

Following intelligence-based raids and follow up operations on their locations on May 2, 2021, over 192kg of cocaine and other psychoactive substances were recovered from the suspects, while the octogenarian, her granddaughter and two other ladies: Tessy Matthew and Blessing Adesida, were arrested.
Narcotics agents with the Federal Capital Territory Command of the NDLEA have also launched a manhunt for another member of the syndicate involved in producing the cookies with Arizona, a highly psychoactive variant of cannabis, alcohol and rohypnol among other ingredients.
This was disclosed in a statement on by the NDLEA’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, on Sunday.
The directives were contained in the reviewed operations and investigations guidelines to all commands of the agency across the country. He said the order had become imperative in view of the current democratic dispensation in the country and the need to adhere strictly to constitutional provisions regarding arrest and detention of suspects.
