In its first quarterly Standing Committee Meeting held in Osogbo, Osun State, the Guild said it deliberated on issues affecting the Guild and the nation

The senior journalists, who are both from the print, broadcast and online mediums, were in Yola for their Standing Committee Meeting and to assess the development achievements of Bindow
The Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, will be the Special Guest of Honour, while the Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, and Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, will play the roles of the Host Governor and Host Minister respectively
Governor Amosun described Egbemode’s emergence as the president of the Guild as “a well deserved honour”.
He added: “Anyone who has followed the career path of Mrs. Egbemode over the years will not be surprised at how far she has come in her chosen profession of journalism
