In the winter of 1969, a heavily armed, FBI-backed team of police officers stormed an apartment on the West Side of Chicago and killed one of the sleeping inhabitants. The man killed in that wintry night was the 21 years old Fred Hampton, the prodigious revolutionary and a potent force of the Black Panther Party.
