Associate Professor of Mechatronic Engineering at the First Technical University, Ibadan, Dr Oyetunde Adeaga, will, for one, tell you that the adage is nothing but the truth.
At the event held on Thursday, February 16, 2023, on the institution’s main campus on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Tech-U also presented certificates to 104 new Tech-U Scholars. These are high-flying students with at least 4.5 GGPA, who have now joined the existing ones. The university pays the scholars N10,000 monthly allowance to further inspire them.
According to him, apart from opening up the area, some of the infrastructural facilities the institution introduced to the zone have been a blessing to other corporate organisations.
The inauguration of the Igbojaiye, Oyo State-born scholar and administrator was held at the university on Monday, May 9, 2022.
The symposium with the theme, ‘Green Technology for Sustainable National Development’, was organised by the Faculty of Applied and Natural Sciences, which also gave Salami two awards.

He is replacing Prof. Adesola Ajayi, who was recently appointed the Vice Chancellor, with his tenure ending March 31, 2022.
The appointment follows the Council’s consideration of the recommendation of the Joint Council and Senate Selection Board at its Special Meeting held on Monday, 7th March 2022. The appointment is for a single term of five (5) years and will take effect from 9th May, 2022.
The Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor Ayobami Salami, disclosed this on Saturday, March 5, during the maiden convocation of the university.
