Turkey has ordered the arrest of 122 military personnel over suspected links to the network blamed by Ankara for orchestrating a failed military coup.
Istanbul prosecutors have ordered the detention of 210 military personnel over suspected links to the network condemned by Ankara for orchestrating a failed 2016 military coup, the Istanbul chief prosecutor’s office said on Friday.
Turkey on Friday lifted passport restrictions on nearly 60,000 people with alleged ties to failed coup in 2016, the Interior Ministry said.
These countries ties had been strained by disputes over Syria, Iran and Ankara’s planned purchase of Russian military equipment.
