Had it not been for that single and historic decision that you made to conceede the election last year and congratulate your opponent, Nigeria would have been plunged into a cauldron of fire and the greatest and most bloody civil war that the world has ever known

More importantly the election of Trump was a fulfilment of prophecy. His ascension to power was propelled by a force and power that is not of this world and that simply cannot be resisted by any human being or satanic conspiracy

Kindly note that this was after I had been detained by them for a gruelling 67 days six months ago (from May 9 to July 15), brought before the Federal High Court in Lagos, arraigned on spurious and politically-motivated charges and locked up in Ikoyi Prison for a number of days, whilst I attempted to perfect my court bail

Fani-Kayode was arrested 24 days ago by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission as he stepped out of the courtroom at the Federal High Court in Lagos

Fani-Kayode was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission before Justice John Tsoho on a fresh five-count charge bordering on money laundering

Fayose visited Fani-Kayode in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Tuesday afternoon and spent quite some time encouraging him

Those visited included a former Minister of Aviation and spokesman of the PDP Presidential Campaign Organization, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode; a former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Senator Bala Mohammed; a former Minister of State for Defense, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro; and spokesman of former President Goodluck Jonathan, Dr. Reuben Abati

He made the remark on Monday during an unscheduled visit to the Commission’s detention facility and clinic, where he felicitated with some of the detainees

We made known our fears that Fani-Kayode’s life was in dire danger as long as he remained in EFCC custody or in the custody of any agency of the federal government based on discreet information available to us. This is apart from the fact that his health has been badly affected since his incarceration for a whopping 67 days based on some questionable ‘detention orders’

Calls to his mobile telephone number by The Eagle Online was unanswered as at press time

Let it be on record that Chief Femi Fani-Kayode was held for 67 days in EFCC custody who used questionable orders from magistrates to perpetuate their illegality. While in their custody he suffered all forms of abuses, trauma and even physical attacks from some of the agents of the Commission

Fani-Kayode was re-arrested as he emerged from trial before a Federal High Court in Lagos

Apart from taking the points raised by the EFCC in the statement point by point, Sani-Kayode equally provided a snapshot of the balance of the Access Bank accounts run by Chikwendu
