The PF in a communique issued after a session of members where the organisation reviewed the current state of the nation in Lagos last weekend, noted that Nigeria, the largest economy in Africa and the ECOWAS sub-region, has played a critical in supporting the member states.

It is instructive that the Abuja court held that since the charges of terrorism had already been filed against Sowore, he must deposit his international passport and other travel documents to the court to guarantee his availability for trial, an indication of the risks to national security and evasion of justice

Falana made the remark in an interview with newsmen shortly after Justice Nkeonye Maha of the Federal High Court, Abuja refused to grant a motion filed to challenge the detention of Sowore, Convener, #RevolutionNow protests, for 45 days by the Department of State Services.

Human rights activist, Femi Falana (SAN), has filed a suit at the Federal High Court in Abuja in which he is seeking to compel the Muhammadu Buhari Administration to recover the sum of $40 billion and N481 billion based on the audit of the extractive industry carried out by the Nigeria Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative, an agency of the Federal Government.

A team from the human rights community, under the banner of People’s Alternative Front, led Femi Falana (SAN), met with the Acting Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, and other top police officers at the Police Force Headquarters Abuja on Thursday.
