Ikpeazu issued the ultimatum during an interactive session with newsmen at the Government House, Umuahia, saying the measure was to ensure the timely completion of the projects.

The Ogun government has announced plans to rehabilitate three major federal roads linking the state and Lagos in view of the economic importance of the roads.
Uzo, who stated this in Abuja at the opening of the four-day 23rd meeting of the National Council on Works, said the signage would be fixed on completed sessions of federal roads.

Fashola lamented the poor state of roads in the country and promised that the President Muhammadu Buhari administration is committed to fixing the roads and then shift focus to maintenance on timely basis
The official, who spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja on Wednesday, also said some states that got approval and carried out the rehabilitation of some federal roads in line with approved guidelines might have been paid
According to him, inadequate funds continued to be the major challenge faced by the Ministry of Works and this had led to the slow pace of some arterial roads projects
Ahmed, who also emphasized the need for strong synergy between the Federal Government and other tiers of government in the maintenance and rehabilitation of roads across the country, called for high quality standards in the maintenance of roads and infrastructural facilities across the country
The Governor mentioned specifically the road linking Osun with Ekiti Road on the Ilesa axis; Osogbo-Ilobu Road on Ogbomosho axis and Osogbo-Iwo Road on Ibadan axis among several other federal roads that are seriously begging for urgent attention
The roads will also provide alternative routes from the South East and South South Zones to the Northern parts of the country
