In a press release by Bisi Kazeem, the Head of Media Relations and Strategy, the Governor, who was represented by his Special Assistant on Transportation, Prince Anofiu Elegushi, noted that the increasing rate of road traffic crashes and fatalities being experienced from speed related crashes in the country makes it imperative that stakeholders take necessary measures to address the menace

Under the present circumstances, it is unfair for Dr Ekundare to describe the genuine intent of the Corps to establish the remote and immediate causes of the fatal crash, in partial fulfilment of its statutory mandate, as “distasteful and derogatory given the helplessness of the victims at the scene of the accident”

The Head Media Relations and Strategy of the FRSC, Bisi Kazeem, in a press statement affirmed that the Corps is not in any way associated with the criminal elements who have devised an underhanded means of making money illegally

According to him, road safety is a shared responsibility of all stakeholders and its campaigns can only succeed when deliberate efforts are made to involve other relevant stakeholders in the campaigns, noting the aggressive partnership initiatives he is pursuing was to demonstrate that spirit
