The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the residents were recently abducted in the renewed land dispute between the community and neighbouring Enyibichiri.
Governor David Umahi announced these developments on Tuesday as part of decisions reached at the State Security Council meeting in Abakaliki.
This was part of resolutions reached during an expanded security council meeting held on Thursday at the State Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Abakaliki, presided over by Governor David Umahi.
The announcement was contained in a statement on Wednesday in Abakiliki by Deputy Governor Kelechi Igwe.
