A new report by the Economic Confidential has disclosed that the Federal Government, 36 states and 774 local government councils in Nigeria shared a total sum of N8 trillion from the Federation Account in 2018 in spite of the shut-ins in several oil installations during the period.

In a painstaking search and carefully computed data from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, the National Universities Commission, various tertiary institutions in Nigeria, the Economic Confidential can report that these higher institutions are regarded as Grade ‘A’ Universities of choice as they can accommodate students with minimum of 180 to 200 scores in JAMB examination

Diligent search and careful computation by the Economic Intelligence magazine showed that apart from the Federal Government that got N1.09 trillion, Akwa Ibom State has the highest allocation among the states when it received N92.72 billion within the period under review, with nine other states leading the pack.

A careful analysis by Economic Confidential indicated that out of the 79,875 reported cases of accident, reckless driving accounted for 30.3 per cent, inexperience and mechanical fault accounted for 21.5 per cent, while and road defects accounted for 21.1 percent
