Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court
Members of a five-man gang who allegedly beat one Ibrahim Yusuf, 40, to death were on Friday remanded at the Ikoyi Prison on the orders of an Ebute Meta Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.
The 59-year-old Pelumi, a lawyer, was brought before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court on a charge of receiving a murder suspect and also aiding his escape.
The accused persons are: Toheeb Akinjobi, 29; Chinedu Okorie, 24; Samuel Adeleke, 26; Dolapo Fasasi, 24; Adekunle Dabiri, 38; Kazeem Qudri, 43.
The Police on Wednesday arraigned a 23-year-old woman, Kudirat Ajao, before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrate’s Court in Lagos over an alleged theft of a five-month-old baby.
Usman, a resident of 25, Muricals Street, Agege, is being tried for kidnapping to which he pleaded not guilty.

Akintelu, 44, was brought before the court on a two-count charge of having unlawful sexual intercourse and attempting to procure abortion for a teenager.
The plea of Musendiku, who is facing a count charge of murder, was not, taken.
