Senator Douye Diri of the Peoples Democracy Party on Friday took the oath of office as Governor of Bayelsa State.

Dickson stated this on Monday in Yenagoa during the official flag-off of the Peoples Democratic Party governorship campaign in the state

The newly elected Governorship candidate of PDP in Bayelsa, Sen. Duoye Diri, on Wednesday thanked the party delegates, party leaders and members for electing him as the flagbearer for Nov. 16 election.

This was sequel to a motion under matters of urgent public importance by Hon. Duoye Diri on the need to curb the unending cycle of severe flooding and grief in Bayelsa.
