The Minister said: “I can say this over and over again that Osun, through Mr. Governor’s innovative ideology, has revived the lost glory and decadence in education system of this country as the state widely opened the door of the schools to all children without being influenced by any socio-economic, political and religious tendencies
“The people should exercise patience as the President has categorically condemned the herdsmen’s actions and directed that no effort should be spared in checking the situation
“Science and Technology Ministry is vital because we need research to improve on high yielding variety of seed, to improve on harvest and process as well as add value to produce and minimise wastages
Dr. Onu is expected to join world leaders at the Forum to explore ways through which science, technology and innovation can be more effectively deployed to address sustainable developmental challenges confronting humanity
He said: “It is unthinkable that 55 years after independence, Nigeria is still not producing pencils when we have the human and material resources in the country
Neither Onu nor Umahi spoke to the press after the visit, which was seen by a large gathering at the Umahi compound as ending a seemingly political animosity between the two Uburu-born politicians
