The initiative, according to the First Lady, is designed to support students especially in low-cost schools from the five administrative divisions of the state namely Ikeja, Badagry, Ikorodu, Lagos Island and Epe, with payment of outstanding fees that may prevent them from writing the ongoing Senior Secondary School WAEC examinations.  

Sanwo-Olu who on Wednesday joined policy makers, stakeholders and partners in the fight against TB to commemorate year 2021 World TB Day in Lagos with an Awareness Walk and an engagement meeting, said the state government is determined, now more than ever, to change the narrative of high TB prevalence in Lagos and its position as the state with the highest TB burden.

Sanwo-Olu, who spoke at the LTV Blue Roof in Agidingbi, Ikeja during the launch of Ilera Eko Day which is a symbolic social campaign designed to integrate Lagos residents to the health insurance policy of the state government, said the scheme aptly signifies the commitment of the present administration towards promoting human right to health and resilient healthcare network.
