Consequently, the Committee chaired by Dr. Busayo Oluwole Oke  summoned the Minister of Interior, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, the Acting Comptroller General of Immigration to appear before it on Wednesday to address the issue.

The chairman of the Committee who gave the order on Friday, stated that this became necessary following the rumour making the rounds and the public outcry especially by the civil organizations that a whopping amount of money was missing in the National Assembly.

He urged them to celebrate with modesty, be law-abiding and to show commitment, empathy and sacrifice, which he said the sacred season exemplifies.

In a statement  made available to newsmen in Abuja , the lawmaker who is also the Chairman of the House Committee on Public Accounts, described the successful conduct of the Zonal Congress of party as God’s confirmation that peace and unity have finally returned to the PDP family in the zone.
