The Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Ngozi Onadeko made this known in a statement by the command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Adewale Osifeso on Tuesday in Ibadan.

Makinde made the promise Saturday at the grand finale of this year’s Armed Forces Remembrance Day, held at the Remembrance Arcade, Government House, Agodi, Ibadan, the State capital.
The command disclosed this in a statement issued by its spokesman, DSP Adewale Osifeso, on Wednesday in Ibadan.
According to a statement by the command’s public relations officer, DSP Adewale Osifeso, the suspect spotted the officers from afar and attempted to flee on his Bajaj motorcycle.
Makinde, who stated this on Monday in Ibadan, appealed to residents of the state to remain calm and to refrain from ethnic profiling.
The spokesman of the Oyo State Police Command, Olugbenga Fadeyi, confirmed the development in a statement on Friday.
