In a statement by its secretary-general, Chief Willy Ezugwu, to commemorate Democracy Day, CNPP noted that the APC-led government has carried on “theoretically” in the last six years as pro-June 12, but has, in practice, exhibited anti-democratic tendencies, either by oversight or consciously.

The umbrella body of all registered political parties and political associations in Nigeria in a statement signed by its Secretary General, Chief Willy Ezugwu, said it has resolved, alongside a coalition of civil society organisations, to back the Trade Union Congress and Nigerian Labour Congress in the struggle for the reversal of the increments.

In a statement issued in Abuja by its Secretary General, Chief Willy Ezugwu, the umbrella body of all registered political parties and associations in Nigeria, noted that “the continued resort to external borrowing at the slightest challenge is not healthy for the country’s future”.

The Conference of Nigeria Political Parties has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to direct ministries, agencies, parastatals and every individual involved in the distribution of COVID-19 palliatives and relief materials, including cash transfers to poor Nigerians, to develop more transparent methods that are verifiable in carrying out his directives on the matter.
