Justice Hakeem Oshodi of an Ikeja High Court, Lagos on Tuesday warned counsel to Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike alias “Evans” that no further delays would be tolerated in his ongoing trial.
Akintoye, while ruling on the application, said the charges filed against Evans did not offend the rule of duplicity as enshrined in the country’s laws and, therefore, lacked merit.

Okagwu said that he paid the sum to the Nnewi, Anambra-born kidnapper, to secure the release of his kidnapped boss, Donatus Dunu, the Managing Director of the Maydon Pharmaceuticals Ltd.
Evans told Justice Adedayo Akintoye that he was not well fed by the prison officials who, he claimed were “taking his case personal”.
Evans is standing trial before Justice Adetayo Akintoye over allegations of kidnapping.
