Kaizer Chiefs have on Thursday signed Chippa United goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi after recent struggles to replace the injured Itumeleng Khune, the club announced.

The Nigerian international, who was in goal for Chippa against Mamelodi Sundowns at the weekend, sustained a neck injury during the second half of that game.
