The Nigeria Basketball Federation has again warned members of the Nigeria Basketball Referees Council to stay away from holding any illegal election in Kaduna on Saturday.

Secretary-General of the federation, Chimezie Asiegbu, told the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday that upon the conclusion of the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia, the NBBF was now ready to reveal its activities for the year.

The Secretary General of the NBBF, Chimezie Asiegbu, informed that the camping exercise, which will be supervised by the duo of D’Tigers assistant coaches, Abdulrahman Mohammed of Gombe Bulls and Aderemi Adewunmi of Kwara Falcons, will open in Lagos on January 5, 2017.
“I am directed to inform you that the above mentioned competition starts at the National Stadium Surulere, Lagos from 11th-18th November 2017. The Nigeria Basketball Federation has nominated your team as one of the teams to represent Nigeria under its auspice in the competition,” read the letter.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the team will be seeking to win the title it had won in 2003 and 2005, Nigeria were second runner-up in 1997 and 2015.
