Elder statesman and former Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief Martin Elechi, dropped the advice on Monday in Abakaliki.

Umahi in a congratulatory message he personally signed, described Elechi as a sage and pathfinder.
They described Anyim’s action as unbecoming of a man “who supposedly is a national figure by virtue of his position as former President of the Senate and former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, but decided to throw caution to the winds and engaged in dirty media attack on a perfect gentleman and father of Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Engr. Chief David Nweze Umahi.”
In his remarks, Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, said the resolution of party leaders was in the best interest of all members, adding that though it may not be the best, members would be happier
Those who spoke at the reconciliatory meeting included: the Minister for Science and Technology, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu; Chief Martin Elechi, former governor of Ebonyi; among others.
Umahi had on Saturday in Abakaliki threatened to probe Elechi’s administration of 2007 to 2015 for “massive financial malpractices”
Umahi served as the Deputy Governor during Elechi’s second tenure as governor
He condemned in strong terms the derogatory statements credited to Chief Elechi faulting the loan secured by Governor Umahi from Africa Development Bank and Islamic Development Bank for the funding of development projects in the state.
The former Governor stated his position when he visited the National Chairman of the APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun
As Umahi charges around the state like a bull in a China shop, it is pertinent to remind him that true power belongs to the people. The people of Ebonyi State and posterity will surely have the last laugh on this blip that his administration represents on Ebonyi State’s March to greatness
