Emefiele unveiled the bank’s plans for next year while delivering the keynote address, titled: “Strong Sustainable growth for the Nigerian Economy,” at the 54th Annual Bankers’ Dinner organized by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria in Lagos on Friday

The President of the institute, Dr Uche Olowu, gave the commendation in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos on Monday, while speaking on the sideline of a “Special Luncheon” held in his honour by the management of Caleb University, Imota, Lagos State.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Olowu took over the leadership of the CIBN on Saturday in Lagos from Prof. Segun Ajibola to oversee affairs of the Institute for the next two years.

In his research work: “Employee MarketPlace – a study on employee engagement and workplace innovation in the millennial age,” Ezurike cautioned that organizations seeking to create happy moments and fat pay cheques as a strategy for achieving improved productivity are in for hard times in the era of the millennials. 

Presenting the award at a ceremony held in Lagos, the President and Chairman of Council, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, Prof. Segun Ajibola, commended Emefiele and his team at the CBN for their efforts in managing the Nigerian financial sector and intervening in critical sectors of the economy, particularly agriculture

The certification came at the end of a recent evaluation exercise carried out by the CIBN, which is the sole accreditation agency under the Competency Framework for the country’s Banking and Finance Industry put in place by the Central Bank of Nigeria
