In a letter dated November 30, 2015, sent to the President of the Appeal Court and copied to the Chief Justice of Nigeria and the National Judicial Council and signed by its Chairman, Comrade Akinloye Olusegun Oyeniyi, the Centre described Kashamu as “a serial petitioner, who has no qualms about contriving lies just to bulldoze his way
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the tribunal, chaired by Justice Tobi Ebiowel, had ordered for rerun in 110 polling units within Ogun East Senatorial District
In two separate petitions to the President of the Court of Appeal, the PDP and Kashamu alleged that the All Progressives Congress had through a Senior Advocate of Nigeria compromised the members of the Appeal Panel empanelled to entertain appeals arising from the outcomes of the National Assembly and States Assemblies Elections petitions in Ogun State
The tribunal, which also removed a member of the House of Representatives representing Ijebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside, Adekoya Adesegun, and five members of the state House of Assembly, ordered for rerun in all the affected areas
The Tribunal nullified Kashamu’s election on Friday

First, it should be noted that the suspects in their statements never denied approaching Senator Kashamu with such a proposal. Even the Police, according to a Police Report, also confirmed that they committed the alleged offences against them. There were also an associate and relation of the former President who witnessed the whole scenario.
This revelation came just hours after the sudden withdrawal of Kashamu’s N20 billion libel suit against Obasanjo
In a statement on Wednesday, the NDLEA said as a government agency and a law enforcement institution that has respect for the rule of law, it will abide by the decisions of a competent court
Justice Okon Abang, in a judgement on Wednesday, declared as illegal the arrest and extradition of Kashamu in relation to drug-trafficking allegations from which he had been exonerated by two British courts
Kashamu had been seeking an order of the court restraining the defendants from giving effect to an alleged plot to abduct and forcibly transport him to the United States before his inauguration as a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
The NDLEA said on Monday that it was working hard to ensure that Kashamu submits himself to the due process of the law
Though Kashamu was not arrested then, some members of the drug ring caught were sentenced by a Chicago Federal Court
The NDLEA made its position known in a statement late on Saturday
Kashamu has refused to open his doors to operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency who had laid siege to his home since very early in the day
