Last week, the UK became the first country in the world to grant emergency use approval to a candidate vaccine produced by U.S. pharmaceutical giant Pfizer and German firm BioNTech.
They suggested that it is not as powerful as two vaccines already announced by other firms.
The vaccine, according to the firms, has a 90-per-cent success rate having been tested on 43,500 people in six countries with no safety concerns.
