I have been a victim of COVID-19 pandemic and have been locked down close to a year. It has been depressing, despairing, limiting, sectioning and discouraging. COVID-19 bounced me off the London social circuit. Places of interests were shut down. Avenues for fun and relaxation became ghost towns. High streets with their colourful, exciting and limitless offerings to the rich and curious closed their shops and threw the keys into River Thames!

Bill Gates in his Ted Talk of 2015, titled: “The Next Outbreak? We’re Not Ready,” had warned about the possibility of a pandemic and the world’s unpreparedness for it. In his words: “If anything kills over 10 million people in the next few decades, it’s most likely to be a highly infectious virus, rather than a war. We have invested a lot in nuclear weapons but very little to stop an epidemic. We’re not ready for the next epidemic.”
