Speaking at the annual Ministerial Press Briefing to mark the third year anniversary of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s administration held at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre in Alausa, the Commissioner for the Environment, Babatunde Durosinmi-Etti, said the CLI was introduced last year to foster broad reforms in solid waste management.
The commissioner made this known on Wednesday in Lagos, during the 2018 ministerial press conference, to commemorate the 3rd year of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, in office.
The resolution followed a motion moved under Matters of Urgent Public Importance, by Lanre Ogunyemi the Chairman, House Committee on Education.
The annual conference, one of the largest events dedicated to financial literacy in Lagos, is holding at the Indoor Sports Hall of National Stadium, Surulere.
Governor Akinwumi Ambode said this at a celebration to mark the World Food Day with the theme: “Change the Future of Migration: Investing in Food Security and Rural Development.”
According to Durosinmi-Etti, the CLI will have employ 25,000 community sanitation workers, who will be engaged mostly as street sweepers within the next 12 months
