Speaking at the commissioning of the specialist health facility dedicated to cater for the health needs of women and children in Epe, Sanwo-Olu stated that his administration will through consistent action and smart investments in the health sector ensure that no woman or child die from normal life enhancing process of procreation.

The Governor particularly praised the university management for the recent disciplinary action taken against two erring academic staff indicted in sex-for-mark scandal that rocked the school. He said the sanction would not only serve as a deterrent to members of the school that may have similar tendency, but also redeem the reputation of the university.
The governor also reiterated his administration’s commitment to partner with the private sector in order to empower and strengthen the teeming youths of the state.
Sanwo-Olu spoke at the South West Zonal Public Hearing of the House of Representatives Special Committee on the Review of the 1999 Constitution in Lagos.
He said Lagos State Government has taken a leap to start a 10-lane highway on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway and it has already done almost 18 kilometres of the road. He therefore appealed to the Federal Ministry of Works to push it further and take it to Badagry.
As at last count, the Sanwo-Olu led administration has reconstructed and rehabilitated 301 inner city roads within the 20 Local Governments and 37 Local Council Development Areas, delivered over 1000 housing units, upgraded 10 General Hospitals among many others. In specific, the administration has completed more than 1097 school projects in two years, built six Secondary Schools, provided over 100,000 tables & chairs, built 450 classrooms and provided 2000 hostel beds in government model schools.
The governor and the senator were also accompanied by the Commissioner for the Environment, Tunji Bello, and other aides
The appointment was contained in a statement by the Coordinator of LASU’s Centre for Information, Press and Public Relations, Ademola Adekoya
He said the totality of his administration’s efforts is geared towards ensuring a safe and secure society, where youth employment is guaranteed.

Sanwo-Olu, the Visitor to LASU, also removed the university’s Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council for alleged flagrant violations of the extant laws and regulations of the university guiding the appointment of a vice chancellor.
The Governor also reiterated his administration’s commitment to intensify the campaign against Sexual and Gender-Based Violence in the State.
