The News Agency of Nigeria reports that ASUP had declared to commence a comprehensive and indefinite strike from December 12 in all the nation’s polytechnics to compel the government to meet their demands.
Usman Dutse, the National President of the union, made the declaration in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos.
The decision was reached at the just-concluded NEC meeting in Abuja chaired by the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.
The board’s Executive Secretary, Dr. Masa’udu Kazaure, gave the assurance in Kaduna on Wednesday at a meeting with Chairmen and Rectors of state polytechnics.
