The four-time African Women’s Footballer of the Year sealed a perfect season with Barcelona Femenino on Sunday as they beat Levante in the Spanish Copa de la Reina, to add to the European Women’s Champions League title and Spanish League crown.

The NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, praised the towering goaltender for his glorious service to fatherland in the round leather game, delivering his best anytime he turned out for both the Senior Men Team (then known as Green Eagles) and Rangers International FC of Enugu.

In a blow to the idea that England’s Women’s Super League is Europe’s best, Barcelona proved far too good for the powerful City side on Wednesday as they struck with goals from Asisat Oshoala, Mariona Caldentey and Jennifer Hermoso in the first leg held in Monza.

Captain Asisat Oshoala bagged four of the total with goals in the 11th, 13th (penalties), 26th and 85th minute, while defender Gloria Ogbonna (8th minute), Uchenna Kanu (36th), Charity Adule (38th), new-girl Toni Oyedupe Payne (43rd) and Gift Monday (69th) also weighed in to condemn the two-time African champions to a humiliating defeat.
